Beautiful orchestral version of “Fix You” by Coldplay.

Type in a music artist. See what drink you should be drinking while listening to them. AWESOME.

I often wish I were a time-traveler.
Unnoticeable, the kind
that can slip in and out—
seamlessly—
uninterrupting the progression of moments;
not breaking the rules,
and changing history.
Even a slight shift could result in the disappearance of things.
The realization of others, instead.

I often wish I were a time-traveler.

Invisible,
slinking into a booth in a crowded Paris nightclub during the Jazz Age;
or simply breathing in Hemingway as he drank; wrote; drank; ate; and wrote again.

Silently stepping beside Edna St. Vincent Millay,
along the streets of the West Village,
high on life, and drink, and sorrow, and love.
Stumbling into the door beside her:
watching the pen scratch on the page—
just a reminder to pick up her suit at the tailors—
but then!—
a fragment of the poet, rendered on the page,
torn off,
tucked into a cigar box on the desk,
next to a fat Havana,
plump with possibility.

We climb the stairs and she collapses in bed,
fully clothed,
I break the rules
to slip off the half-cocked heel from her still-shod foot,
as she sighs and falls deeply to sleep.
